Dell Despain ~ Fly Fishing Guide

When I started fishing at the age of six, I knew I had found something I would always do. Beyond the fishing I also found a great appreciation and enjoyment in being near the mountains and it's wildlife. Unfortunately as a kid you don't always get to decide what you do. Life distracts you with school, sports, friends and later girls. But every summer, my dad or granddad would hike my brother and me into the backcountry for camping and fishing.

Once I hit my twenties I became much more mobile and soon developed a 3 day a week fishing habit. Every day life still continued with work, sports, friends, girls -- oh and did I mention work? I needed more time on the water. I started tying flies commercially but still this didn't fill my need to be on the river.

So with a lot of luck hard work and support from my family this brings me to today when my main occupation is as a fly fishing guide. Hi, my name is Dell Despain. I 'm 39 years old and my fly fishing is still on a high boil.
